DELIVERY

Attention to every detail

When the time comes for delivery of your Maker&Son furniture, we give as much care and attention to the arrival of your pieces, as went into the making of them. Our trusted delivery partners organise timing with you, and when they arrive, they carefully carry the items to the right room* and assemble as needed**. They will remove all packaging, and take it away with them for recycling when they leave.

ABOUT DELIVERY FEES

Our delivery fees are quoted at checkout or quoted to you in our order confirmation. When you place your order, we’ll discuss any specific requirements and confirm costs at that stage. We are able to remove old furniture for you, but please let us know at the time of ordering so we can provide an estimate then.

We are pleased to be able to offer international deliveries to Asia/Pacific. Please get in touch with our team to get a delivery quote.

WHAT TO EXPECT BEFORE ARRIVAL DATE

Once your piece(s) are available, you will be contacted to arrange a date for delivery. Usually about 24 hours before delivery, you’ll be notified of a time slot, once the delivery route has been planned. You are required to take delivery on the agreed date. Unfortunately, if you (a) cancel the delivery later than 8am 2 days prior to your delivery date or (b) are not available to accept the delivery when it arrives, you may be charged redelivery fees as well as storage charges in addition to the original delivery fee. It’s quite important to pay attention to this, and to know that all payments must be paid before eventual redelivery.

NOTES

*Of course, our delivery partner will reasonably endeavour to deliver items to the room of your choice. However the room must be accessible to two delivery people, either on the ground floor or via suitable stairs / elevator, and without the need for mechanical lifting equipment. If you see any potential issues with delivery due to access, please raise them at the point of order. **Please understand that it is your responsibility to check the condition of the piece(s) delivered and to highlight any issues upon receipt with our delivery partner.

While your Song frame is under warranty, we will repair or replace any part of it that is defective in material or workmanship. The decision to repair or replace a piece will be made at the discretion of Maker&Son.

Coil spring inserts are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of thirty years. Feather and Down Cushions: Feather and Down Cushions are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of three (3) years. Fabric Coverings: Fabric coverings, other than Customer’s Own Material, are warranted for one (1) year against manufacturing defects, seam slippage, pilling, shrinkage, and nap loss. Please note Cotton and Linen fabrics display slight irregularities in their weave, this is a natural characteristic of natural fibers which is called slubbing. It is a result of the twisting required when the yarn is spun.

This guarantee does not cover fabric fading caused by stains from spills including but not limited to acids, solvents, dyes, ink, paint, other corrosive chemicals, bodily fluids, exposure to sunlight, bright light or extreme heat. Use of any aftermarket soil or leather protector not approved by Maker&Son in writing will void this warranty. Colorfastness and durability of Fabric Covering are also excluded from the warranty. These guarantees do not cover fair wear and tear, neglect, abuse or misuse of your goods, loss or damage (including rusting and corrosion) due to unreasonable exposure to water, heat or weather; loss or damage due to fire, smoke, explosion, lightning, sunlight, infestation by animals or boring insects, damage by animals generally or theft, or accidental damage or loss caused by a third party Please contact us at hello@makerandson.com Please note that our 30 year frame guarantees cover only Song Chairs, Sofas and Corner Sofas. RETURNS

On the Rare Occasion

Unfortunately, the best laid plans sometimes go awry. In the event that you are not satisfied with your Maker&Son piece(s), we offer a no quibble return policy assuming you return your goods within 14 days of receipt.

Notice that we cannot, however, accept returns of any Bespoke or custom made products either before or after delivery. We generally put Bespoke orders into production within 24 hours of receipt of order, so any changes may occur additional fees, and return of Bespoke designs is just simply not possible.

For our standard pieces:

If once your furniture has arrived, it is in perfect condition but you have simply decided that it is not for you, just let us know within 48 hours and will arrange to pick it up. Please note, all items to be returned must be unused, in fully resalable condition and their original packaging. If the item has not been returned in fully saleable condition. We reserve the right to refuse a refund on the item.

Assuming we receive it back in the same condition it was delivered, we will refund the cost of your furniture; please note, we are unable to refund the original delivery cost.

We make every effort to sell products at the highest quality and in perfect condition. If, however, in the unlikely situation, you receive a faulty or damaged product. Please get in touch with our customer service team, who will help with an exchange or a full refund.

For bespoke pieces:



Please bear in mind when ordering bespoke that you will not be able to return any items ordered unless they are faulty in some way.

In the unlikely event that your furniture arrives damaged or not as ordered, simply inform the delivery driver that you are not happy to accept the order. They will notify us of the problem and we will be in touch immediately to rectify the issue.
